Global Fortune 500 Energy Company   |   Rethinking the Future - Sales Pitch

The project

To reinforce the relationship we had with a Global Fortune 500 energy company and to continue our strong working relationship, we decided to write an editorial magazine describing the ways we envisioned their company and industry changing. We created the print piece to pitch to our energy company’s Chief Digital Officer in an effort to become their main partner in helping them reach their carbon-neutral goals, proving to him our commitment to sustainability, future planning, and our digital integration expertise.

My role

We wrote five chapters detailing the opportunities for change in five specific areas. My role was to create the format and layout for the magazine and draw custom hero illustrations for each chapter. I worked with the Design Director from our Chicago office to decide what the focus of the illustrations should be and how we should summarize each chapter with the imagery. We spent most of the little time we had sketching together until we agreed on a direction for execution, so I strategically chose an illustration style that allowed me to execute these faster while still being beautiful and highly detailed.   

The outcome

The work we did preparing for the pitch and the ideas we brought to the Chief Digital Officer helped solidify us as a partner. I have since been involved in several different sustainability initiatives for this client resulting from the healthy partnership we’ve maintained.
